The Till is Dead - Long Live The Till

Oh yeah, I missed it. A Rammstein premiere. Gah! That will teach me for having gainful employment and living in bloody New Zealand. Haifisch, with all the narrative and humour we've come to expect, and a few nice flash-backs thrown in for good measure...with twists. It's a good video. Not quite up there with Ich Will, in my opinion, but damned good.

Also, apparently people in other countries can get the entire Rammstein video catalogue from iTunes. I can't. Once again living in the most beautiful place in the world burns me.

  2. I swear I saw Marilyn Manson hiding in the background near the start

  3. I swear I saw Marilyn Manson too.
I liked them playing along with the rumours for ages ago with replacing the lead singer with people like Hetfield :P

  4. You did see Manson. Once shaking hands and once standing in the church door. I don't know if it's really him, but it was a nice touch :)

  5. Paul is an incredible actor. That face he has when he's been punched by Richard and he's sitting on the ground looking up...wow.

  6. @Blackie Lagoon: That was the sweetest face I have EVER seen. I felt so bad when Richard hit him. You're right, Paul did a fantastic job!
I have to admit, the part with Schneider and Ollie fighting was hilarious. If you look at one point, Schneider goes to kick Ollie, misses, yet Ollie still falls down. It was awesome.
The 'Se7en' reference getting twisted into 'Keine Lust' was great too!

It was an overall great video. Yet no one can replace Till, that day would be a sad day indeed.

  7. I didn't like that bit. Paul getting smacked in the face bothered me, probably because of how I perceive him more than anything. He's like the hub of the band for me; the guy that maintains an even keel and a good vibe.

  8. I didn't like it the first time I saw it (although I have to admire his acting chops...his display of stunned disbelief and betrayal to gathering rage to explosion is a work of art) but man, I CHEERED when he pounded on Richard.

  9. The brawl between Paul and Richard was pretty intense, but I'll still say it, Paul did an excellent job of acting. At the table as well, when he and Flake were exchanging glances, his face was priceless.
I kinda REALLY liked when Paul went after Richard. The whole fight scene went great with the lyrics.

  10. The part when Paul bangs through the doors to go outside is a riff on "Ich Will"; same angle, same shot. And I've read that he got a real bloody nose from being slammed to the ground by the SWAT team (the shot didn't make it into the final video) so he's now got his bloody nose moment of glory at last.

I gotta wonder how tall that guy is; I keep reading 5'9" but he looks tiny next to the other guys, even Richard who isn't quite six feet tall as far as I know. His little man rage was just so freakin' perfect in this video.
